Birth of a Fashion – The Original Diva

Dendy Cinemas is proud to partner with the Italian Culture Institute to celebrate the costumes, designs, and style of early Italian silent movies. Join us for special restoration screenings of two timeless silent film productions, starring the original Italian diva, Lyda Borelli.
Malombra will be screened with a live music accompaniment, and the famous “Tanagra Dress” created by iconic Milanese stylist Rosa Genoni for Borelli will be showcased during the presentations. With introductions by Italian costume designer and educator Eva Coen, and University of Sydney Film Studies Senior Lecturer Susan Potter, this is an unmissable event for fans of both film and fashion.
